以下２００４ＧＶＣ０８での全レポート記録です。アリゾナとカナダと日本チームの報告の様子です。リーダがレポートを書くことになっています。レポートはネイティブに任せた方が良さそうです

Remember that a considerable proportion of contest judging will be based on the collaboration that you achieve during the process of creating the team's website. The communication that goes on in this ICA GVC Team Classroom and the content of the Weekly Report will be the primary input for this aspect of the judging.

現在は自己紹介を終えつつある。我々の日本の友人は、自己紹介のＣＤとＤＶＤを送り、その中には行事や遠足の事が入っていました。カナダは自己紹介をインターネットでＷＭＶファイルで送ってくれました。アメリカのチャンドラー、アリゾナ学生は、自己紹介を終え、文とビデオは今週末までに送られるであろう。
我々には、我々が現在働いている 2 つの小さなプロジェクトがある。1 つは、 連画（Renga） と呼ばれるプロジェクトである。http://www.d-project.jp/2004/renga/sessions/04/index.htm 他方は、人形を各々の国からの各々の国に送ることプロジェクトである。これらの人形は、学生の間を順番に送られ、学校行事、クラスのイベントに参加するであろう。そして人形は一緒に写真をとられ、最後には出発した国に戻っていく。我々は、メインプロジェクトのテーマについてまだ討議しており、金曜日にまでには決定できるように望んでいる。
最も努力しなければならないことは、アリゾナがカナダや日本のペース（ビデオ撮りと自己紹介）に追いつくことである。、それ以外は、非常にうまくいっている。
We are currently finishing up with introductions. Our Japanese friends sent out a CD and DVD introduceing themselves and displaying scenes and events from school and field trips. Our Canadian friends sent wmv video introductions on the internet. Currently the Chandler, Arizona students are finishing up introductions, both written and video and will be getting those out by this week-end.
We have two small projects that we are currently working on. One is a webbing drawing project called Renga. http://www.d-project.jp/2004/renga/sessions/04/index.htm The other is to send a doll to each of the countries from each of the countries. These dolls will go with the students during school projects, classes, and events. Pictures will be taken with the doll during this time and will all be sent back at the end to the represented country. Sort of a Flat Stanley idea. We are still discussing the main project that we will be working on and hope to have that idea completed by Friday.
Right now, the biggest challenge is getting Arizona caught up with the pace that Canada and Japan have already set (videos and introductions) due to their two week break. Other than that it has gone very well.

我々は、 連画と呼ばれるサイドプロジェクトへ絵を作成して送るために、学生と共に熱心に働いてきた。これは、ウェブサイトで表示される絵のウェッビングである。各グループの学生は、人形を他のグループの国へ送るために準備をしている。学生たちはペアを決めた相手に手紙を書いたり、websiteのデザインを考えるのに忙しい。教師たちは、毎週土曜日の朝 Yahoo のメッセンジャーを用いて会議しており、skypeとよばれる高品質の音声が使える会議ツールが気にいっている。米国のグループは、ビデオでの自己紹介を送る予定である。
We have been working hard with our students to create and send drawings to a side project called RENGA. This is a webbing of drawings that are displayed on a website, http://www.d-project.jp/2004/renga/sessions/04/index.htm, that the students build off of one drawing to the next. Each group's students are also in the process of getting ready to send dolls to each of our other group's country to do a Flat Stanley thing with taking pictures with the dolls and students in various locations and activities. Students have also been buisy writing notes, when there is time, to the pen pal matched students and planning for the website. The teachers from each each country conferenced on Saturday morning using Yahoo's messenger and are looking into a possible alternative conferencing tool that provides a clear, phone call like quality called Skype. The USA group will be sending videos to the other groups this week showing what goes on at their school and video introductions from the students on the team.

今週中、学生たちはいろいろなプロジェクトで頑張っている。学生たちは連画（絵のリレー）でたくさんの絵を付け加えることができた。ある絵は関連づけられた絵で外見がどんどんかわっていった。カナダと日本の学生は理想の島のイメージをインスピレーションと言うソフトで作成しつつある。アメリカからもあとで付け加えられるであろう。最後に人形の大使とクリスマスカードは１２月の中頃に各国の学校から送られるであろう。
Students have been working hard on various projects during the week. Students have added much to the Renga picture web. One picture changing in appearance and form as each student draws a variation of the one they are connecting to. Also, students from Canada and Japan have been developing there ideas of a Utopia island society using the software program Inspiration. Letters have been written and are ready to be posted from ther students in the USA.
Finally, ambassador dolls and Christmas cards will be sent in early to mid Decemeber from each school to each school.

私とカズヒサ（日本）は土曜の朝１時間チャットをした。（カズヒサにとっては土曜の夜）
スカイプをつかってみた。それは高音質のとてもいいチャットソフトであるウィン９８では少しトラブルがあったので９８よりもＸＰがいいようである。ポール（アメリカ）は感謝祭のために家族と出かけていった。
我々は、今週やったこと、及び今週しなければならないことを再検討した。我々のグループは、互いによく知り合うようになった。カズヒサは、優れた英語を話す。我々が話し合った大部分は、 スカイプの音声によって行われたので、この記録にはない。今週はすごい進捗であった。（補足、このレポートはアメリカによって書かれた。チャットによって、理想の島のアイディアがほぼ確定した）
Kazuhisa and I chatted for an hour Saturday morning for me and late Sat night for Kazuhisa. We have the program 'Skype' on our machines. It is a very good chat program, that has excellent sound quality. It gives me a little trouble as I run windows 98 and they have XP and the program likes XP better than 98. Paul was away having Thanksgiving with his family. We reviewed what our classes have accomplished this week and what we will be doing this week. We also got to know each other better. Kazuhisa speaks excellent English. Most of what we chatted about is not in this record as it was done via voice on Skype. I think we made excellent progress today, with a plan laid out for the coming week.

ジョージ（カナダ）、カズヒサ、ポール（アメリカ）は土曜日に進行について話し合った。
手紙、カード、写真、食べ物、大使人形、他のアイテムが入った荷物はゆっくりと各国へ向かっている。学生はどんなＷＥＢページのデザインがいいか作業をしている。個人的に組織的にどんなページがいいか話し合っている。
George,Kazuhisa, and Paul Got online on Saturday to discuss the progress. The letters, cards pictures , food, doll ambassadors, and other items in packages are slowely making its way to each country. Students have been working on sketches of what the initial home page will look like. We have also spent some time discussing what each of us has been doing on the side, both personally and professionally.

我々の学校の全ては、ここ 2 、 3 週間の冬休みであった。我々は、明日学生と共に戻っることになっている。我々は、 Skype 、Yahoo Messenger を使うことによって有意義な時間を過ごした。我々の対話は、「会議室の」チャットの記録に保存されている。我々は４時間話し合った。我々の進行状態は非常によい。相互をよく知るためのプロジェクトとして、レター、カード、大使人形 ( Flat Stanley アイデアのような物 ) 、見本の食物、ペン、市のパンフレット等を送りあった。ＷＥＢのテーマとゴールは準備された。学生はウエッブサイとのデザインをスケッチした。最後のコンセプトの完成に向けて頑張っている。私のチームは冬休みのため、２週間連絡が取れてない。今週は戻るだろう。
All of our schools have been on winter break for the past couple of weeks. We are just getting back with students tomorrow. We have had a great time with collaborating using Skype and Yahoo Messenger. Our dialog has been recorded in the "conferencing" / "Record of Chatting" section. We many time will spend up to four hours talking. Our progress has been very good. As an individual project getting to know each other and working on a side project to have some fun together we have completed in sending letters, cards, ambassador dolls (much like the Flat Stanley idea), sample foods, pens and city brochures.
The web topic and goals have been set. Currently the students have sketched out the website design and are in the process of working towards a final approval on the concept.
Our teams have not communicated for the past two weeks due to the winter break, but will resume this week.

日本は島のイメージを考えている。８つのエリア（陸、空気、水、政府、技術、食べ物、経済、住居）これらは理想の世界のコンセプトを作るための情報を作っている。ｆｔｐサイトに４つのフォルダーを準備した。図書室には各国の作成した資料をおいておく。それらはお互いに利用可能である
Today we spent three hours conferencing in Yahoo messenger. Our progress is still moving at a steady pace. We discussed the various areas that our website will be focusing on. Right now Canada is developing the introduction page and the island image from with the rest of the website will be based on and some of the templates.
Japan is also developing the island images. We will develop templates from which students will use to write about each counties areas to have a consistant display of information. The students will create information about each country based on eight areas: land, air, water, government, technology, food, economy, and housing. From these we will be developing the webpages and use the information to make a Utopia society as an ideal concept.
We have set-up four folders at the GVC ftp site, one for each country and a library for any one to take an item to work on, so that there are not others accidentially work on the same thing,and then place it back into the library for others to have a chance to work on that item (ie. webpage, picture).

我々のチームは会議用にヤフーメッセンジャーとスカイプを使っています。今オープニングのページとインデックスページを作っています。まだ、交流のページにつながる地図のページの作成にかかっています。
Our team conferenced using Yahoo Messenger and Skype to discuss our accomplishments for the week. Currently we have an opening page and an index page developed. We are still working on a map page that would take viewers to the corrisponding pages.
It was a little difficult this time around to do much discussion since some of us had events that we needed to attend.

我々は、我々が土曜日の朝ウェブページを作成することにおいて次のステップについて論じるのに約 1 時間半を費やした。カナダの学生はアリゾナと日本から送られてくるテンプレートの作成にかかっている。アリゾナグループは、島の設計を、日本の学生からの島に関する意見を受け入れて、作るであろう。
現在、自己紹介のページを完成させ、ロールオーバー付きのレイアウトのマップを完成させた。我々は問題なしに、順調に作業をこなしている。アリゾナのチームはプロジェクトのための写真を学生たちに撮らせるのが難しいようである。しかし、これも時がたてば解決されるであろう。
We spent about an hour and a half discussing the next steps in our creating the web pages on Saturday morning. The Canadian students will develope a web page template from which the Arizona and Japan will work from. The Arizona group will work on a map, based on a drawing from the Japanese students to help in the design. Much of the discussion covered the way the web site would be mapped out and going over the over all look and feel of what is has been and needs to be decided upon by the students.
Right now, we have a cover (introduction) page nearly completed, The map is completed, the overall direction of the layout of pages (what pages are needed)completed.
We are all finding each other very easy to get along with and have had no trouble. Arizona seems to have the most difficulty try to get students to provide pictures for the project, but that seems to be getting better with time.
